Coahuila recibió 39.4 millones de dólares por concepto de inversión extranjera directa (IED) en 2011, lo que representó 0.2% de la IED recibida en México. La inversión extranjera directa recibida por el estado, se dirigió principalmente a la industria manufacturera en 2011.
